Pilibhit Tiger Reserve Jungle Safari: Three Gates, One Grand Wildlife Experience
The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve Jungle Safari is one of the most interesting wildlife tours in the Terai region of the Uttar Pradesh with three major sites of entrance gates- Mahof Gate, Barahi Gate and Mustafabad Gate that lead to the different forest landscapes and wildlife experiences in the safari. The gates open two great safari areas, which offer tourists to see a broad spectrum of habitats such as thick sal forests to open grasslands and wilderness along the canals. The safari will be led in open gypsies with help of trained forest professionals and naturalists, which will guarantee people safety and informative wildlife. Having a high population of tigers, a good prey base and a large bird population, Pilibhit has become one of the most promising tiger reserves in North India. All safari paths in this area are determined by rivers, canals and steep trails through the forest that form the most favorable environments where wild animals can pass and be seen. Be it a first time tourist, a wildlife photographer or a seasoned explorer, the Pilibhit safari territory is a sure way to excitement, adventure and memorable experience in the lap of nature.
Mahof Gate (Zone 1): Dense Sal Forests & Prime Tiger Sighting Zone
One of the most harmonious and wildlife rich areas of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is Mahof Gate (Zone 1). Mahof Zone 1 is known to have one of the most dense sal forests, natural silence and cool forest atmosphere, giving excellent possibilities to see tigers, swamp deer, sambar, hog deer, wild boar and a rich variety of birds. The towering sal trees give this an illusion of dramatic forest tunneling, in which with each twist of the safari track, one is left wondering what to expect next. Mahof natural environment enables the visitor to hear the alarm calls, bird sounds, and even the tiger movement in distant situations, which adds excitement to the safari. Wildlife photographers and serious wildlife lovers find this area particularly favorite due to the stable tiger habitat and the abundance of wildlife in this area. Morning safaris can be characterized by mist-cover forest paths and fresh pugmarks whereas evening safaris are accompanied by the gold-colored light penetrating trees and more wild animals around water bodies. It is a Mahof Gate that is very peaceful with an impressive power that makes it one of the pillars of the Pilibhit Jungle Safari experience.
Barahi Gate (Zone 2): The Adventure Route of Pilibhit Jungle Safari
Barahi Gate (Zone 2) helps the visitors to experience a new and exciting safari path with full of vegetation grasslands, forest patches, and increasing tiger movements. The area is an excellent place to visit when one wants to have a different experience in safari loops other than the usual. The contrast in zone 2 is beautiful with meadows in the scale of landscapes with the grazing deer, dense shrubs that provide cover to predators, and seasonal water bodies, which are attracting wildlife as well as migratory birds. With tiger movement ever on the rise in this region, it is becoming more often being seen and therefore Barahi is emerging as a hot spot in terms of big cat sightings.
Mustafabad Gate: Flexible Safari Access to Zone 1 & Zone 2
To add more flexibility, Mustafabet Gate can be used as a distinctive and strategic access point, as it would enable getting into the Safari in either Zone 1 or Zone 2 in case of available permits. This provides the visitors with more freedom to select their safari experience depending on actual conditions and opportunities of sightseeing. Having accessibility of all kinds, dynamic landscape and abundant wildlife, the overall network of Mahof, Barahi and Mustafabad Gates makes the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve Jungle safari a wholesome, well balanced and more specifically an immersive forest adventure.
